URGENT: Make calls for PFML benefits expansion and Clean Hands Law reform!

Call on the DC Council to make the paid family and medical leave benefits expansion retroactive, and to fund important reforms to the District's fines and fees system! When we can't visit the Council in person, a personal phone call is the next best thing.

Today we're calling Chairman Mendelson and Councilmembers Henderson and Gray. These calls should take less than a couple minutes.

Use the script below as a guide, but feel free to share any personal reasons for why you are making this phone call.

"Hi, my name is ______, and I live in (Ward # or neighborhood). I’m calling to ask the Councilmember/Chairman to support DC workers who will need access to expanded PFML benefits this summer. And to also support funding to reform the Clean Hands law so poor residents aren't punished for not being able to pay fines and fees. Thank you for taking my call."
