ACTION ALERT: Call DC Councilmembers Oct 7-8

On October 7-8, help us call DC Councilmembers Charles Allen, Vince Gray, and Phil Mendelson every 5 to 10 minutes and ask them to pause DMHHS homeless encampment evictions until after every resident is fully and permanently housed.

Call 202-724-8072 (Allen), 202-724-8068 (Gray), then 202-724-8032 (Mendelson). We're calling Allen because this is happening in his ward, Gray because he has oversight over the DMHHS pilot program, and Mendelson because he is the Council Chair.

Use the script below as a guide, but feel free to share any personal reasons for why you are making this phone call:

"Hello, I would like to leave a message for the Councilmember. My name is _ and I live in _. I am calling to urge the Councilmember to pause DMHHS homeless encampment evictions until after every resident is fully and permanently housed. The Councilmember should not support the current approach where DMHHS is driving bulldozers into unhoused people."
