Make a Video for a Resident at Crookwell/Taralga Aged Care
Upper Lachlan Community Connect (ULCC) is asking people across the Shire to show residents at Crookwell/Taralga Aged Care (Viewhaven and Sunset Lodges) that they matter during this time.
Instructions:
1. Select a name off this list by putting your name next to it
2. Make a video for that resident that is a few minutes long
3. Email your video to ulcc@outlook.com.au
We will put videos together and safely get them to Crookwell/Taralga Aged Care (CTAC). There, the Recreation Officers will find a way to play them to residents.
If you are not sure what to talk about, you might:
- Introduce yourself
- Talk about routines you're keeping up during this time
- Show what is growing in your garden at the moment
- Talk about how you're managing with homeschooling
- Film your pets as part of the video
If children would like to do a video, they need to say their name and age at the beginning and then they can talk to the resident they have selected about whatever they like - maybe they would like to share something about their school work, or show something they have made, etc...
Note: you can talk about how things that are different due to Corona, but try to keep it somewhat upbeat - this is an opportunity to provide something positive for the CTAC residents, not promote more fear. All overly negative messages, political comments or anything deemed offensive will not be passed on to CTAC.
If you have any questions about the process, please call ULCC organiser Gavin Douglas on 0423 245 470 or email ulcc@outlook.com.au.
Enjoy making your videos!
