BLACKADDER — Harbour Theatre Auditions

Blackadder is a stage production adapted from the popular British TV series. Harbour Theatre has booked performance dates at the Mosman Park Memorial Hall (“Camelot”) from October 8 to 18, 2026 (plus dress rehearsals prior). This is a community theatre (unpaid) production.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 13, and Monday evening, June 15, at the Alf Adams Pavilion (Solomon St, Mosman Park). Rehearsals will be at Alf Adams on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. (Not all characters will be required at all rehearsals.)

CHARACTERS
Each episode of the TV series had six recurring characters:

Lord Edmund Blackadder: a protagonist

Baldrick: a servant

Lord Percy Percy: a stooge

Queen Elizabeth the First: a queen

Nursie: a nurse

Lord Melchett: an antagonist

Each episode of the TV series also had assorted guest characters. We are looking for:

Sir Walter Raleigh: an explorer

Captain Redbeard Rum: a ship’s captain

Lord and Lady Whiteadder: the two most fanatical puritans in England

Simon Partridge: a drunkard

Freddie Frobisher: a drunkard

Sir Geoffrey Piddle: a drunkard

Please arrive a little before your audition slot, so that you will have time to peruse the audition pieces and complete any paperwork. Please bring your completed audition form (which we will email to you). If you are new to Harbour Theatre, please provide an attached photograph (preferably of yourself, not just some random cat photograph). Spare audition forms will be available on the day.
